Day after day I talk with women who know what they want, but repeatedly get derailed as they are going for it.
They go to women’s conferences, read books, listen to podcasts and belong to women’s organizations.
They show up month after month, listen, clap, give standing ovations, but secretly are questioning, Why them and not me?
When will it be my turn to be in the lime-light?

We feel guilty for even having these thoughts because we want to be supportive and we truly love the women around us.
We don’t talk about it because we don’t want our friends, colleagues and family to see how petty and small we are being.
So instead, we come up with excuses and rationalizations. We blame other people, our circumstances, our upbringing, our organization, the economy, history…
Then we’re even more frustrated when things don’t get better.
Even though it may not seem like it, I know what you want.

You want to be heard.
You want work to be fun and fulfilling.
You want to be free to be yourself and celebrated for what you give to the cause.
Instead of trying to eliminate the guilt, the key is to go inward and return to your powerful core which truly wants to celebrate you AND other people!
Which allows you to be who you are designed to be.
